A group of future health care professionals will get a firsthand look at rural medicine in northwest Missouri later this month through the Rural Immersion Program.

Gardeners of all experience levels will have the chance to learn new skills and explore fresh ideas at the 2026 University of Missouri Extension Master Gardener State Conference, taking place June 4 through 7 in Springfield.

The University of Missouri Extension is offering a free Community Gardening Toolkit designed to support the growing number of community gardens across Missouri.

Many operations entered the spring with fuel purchased over the winter for less than $3 per gallon. However, the first refill of the season could cost more than $1.50 higher per gallon.
