About Us
KXCV-KRNW provides in-depth news, information and entertainment to 32 counties in the "Midwest 4-corners region" of Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. KXCV-KRNW features programs and news from National Public Radio as well as Americana, jazz and classical music, along with a variety of entertainment and topical programs.
Our Mission
KXCV-KRNW has a 2-pronged mission:
- To inform and serve the community, provide instruction, education, information and entertainment using all resources of the community, University, state, national and international sources. To provide alternative programming to our stakeholders while strengthening the interest and understanding of the programs and services of the University; and
- Offer a valuable broadcast training experience for students of Northwest Missouri State University.
Vision
KXCV-KRNW will continue as a recognized innovator in broadcast instruction and provider of alternative, non-commercial programming.
Facts
KXCV was the first full-power public radio station in Missouri, signing on the air in 1971. KXCV and KRNW broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

KXCV-KRNW is licensed to the Board of Regents of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
