Borghesi delivers a sizzling array of famous hits in her signature “Brassy” style, pays tribute to the iconic catalogue of Dame Shirley “Bassey,” and then celebrates the best of “Broadway,” making each showstopper uniquely her own. Audiences can expect to hear standards and surprises ranging from the Brassy (Satan’s Lil Lamb, Trolly Song ), the Bassey (Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger, Moonraker) and Broadway (You Can Always Count On Me, Blame It On The Summer Night) from a diverse list of songwriters including Charles Strouse, Cy Coleman, Stephen Sondheim while featuring a bounty of belting, boas and bling!

The first annual "It's a Piece of Cake" will be on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the North Nodaway R-6 Gymnasium. Bring any kind of cake you like, all flavors are welcome. Store-bought cakes are acceptable for those who don't wish to bake.

Boxes are available for cake selections once the event begins. Attendees are encouraged to view the cakes before it begins. You will only have 10 minutes to pick out slices that you wish to create your cake with.

Between groups being called to pick out their slices, drawings for various items associated with cake backing and decorating will occur.

This is a fundraiser for the Roxy Theatre in Hopkins, MO for entertainment. Donations of $20 are asked for at this time for early registration. At the door, registration will increase to $25. Cash, check, and Venmo is accepted.

A native of Los Angeles, raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and music professor at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Robert Walters performed and recorded frequently with the Philadelphia Orchestra and was active as a freelance musician in New York. He was also a frequent performer with James Levine and the Met Chamber Ensemble at Carnegie Hall.

Combining the best of both traditional and contemporary Bluegrass music, with great harmony singing and hot instrumentals, these musicians are seasoned professionals who love playing their music and it shows. They will play everyone’s Bluegrass favorites along with a fun mix of Cajun, Western Swing, Gospel and Celtic tunes just to keep things interesting. Just try seeing the Ponies show without tapping your toes — it can’t be done!
