A native of Los Angeles, raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and music professor at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Robert Walters performed and recorded frequently with the Philadelphia Orchestra and was active as a freelance musician in New York. He was also a frequent performer with James Levine and the Met Chamber Ensemble at Carnegie Hall.

The annual Downtown Turkey Trot invites runners, walkers, families, and friends to lace up their shoes and hit the streets before the feast. This untimed fun run winds through the downtown and campus of Northwest Missouri State University, encouraging all ages to get moving, enjoy the crisp fall air, and celebrate community spirit. The parade begins with a countdown to the official lighting of Downtown. And, of course, a special appearance by the Grinch and Santa Claus will make this night truly magical for kids and grown-ups alike.
