Calling all animal lovers and fitness enthusiasts! New Nodaway Humane Society is hosting our third annual The Fast and the Furriest 5K Fun Run/Walk (In-Person & Virtual) on Saturday, Sept. 20at Mozingo Lake. 1-MILE route also available.

This is open to all dogs, regardless of breed and shape

The proceeds from the event will go directly towards vet bills. Last year, our medical expenses topped $50,000! Let's run for the rescues and raise some money!

INCLUSIONS
• Event t-shirt
• Water and light snacks
Please note that this event will be officially timed by our staff. Any participant who wishes to monitor their running time more precisely should bring their own timing device.

DEADLINE OF REGISTRATION
• $35 per runner
• Dogs run for free
• Sign up by September 10th for a guaranteed t-shirt and/or bandana
• Additional bandana(s) and t-shirt(s) are available for pre-order purchase

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Check-in begins at 8AM
• Race starts at 8:30AM
• Registration will be at Ed Phillips Shelter (near The Point)

HOUSEKEEPING
• Dog friendly dogs only
• Dog must be on leash at all times
• Carry Poop Bags at all times
• Proof of rabies vaccination required at check-in
• Bring water for you and for your pets at all times
• Everyone must maintain responsibility for themselves and their pets before, during and after the Run.
• Dogs must be kept on the lead or leash at all times during the Race and should not be handled in a slip lead, choke chain, head collar, flexi lead, or any collar that restricts breathing.

Come enjoy the fresh fall air and shop around the square. Vendors selling homemade and homegrown items as well as food, drinks, games for the kids, pumpkin painting, pumpkin pie eating contest, and giant pumpkin growing contest winners on display.

Purchase a ticket to participate in Witches night and get exclusive offers from downtown businesses. Get some downtown swag, be entered into a drawing for fantastic prizes. Dress up like a witch for a chance to win a gift card and enjoy some great food! Check in is from 4-6:30 in the Pocket Park at the corner of Third and Main Streets. Tickets on sale soon!

Join us for a 5k fun run starting off under the Downtown Maryville arch on Thanksgiving. First male and female winners receive a pie. Sign up for the race by Nov. 20 for a T-shirt.
