The University of Missouri Extension has opened registration for its Fall 2026 Master Gardener online course.
The 15-week course runs from Aug. 23 through Dec. 24 and offers participants an in-depth study of horticulture through presentations and weekly discussion forums.
Course topics include plant structure and function, soils and plant nutrition, plant propagation, fruits and vegetables, and other gardening fundamentals.
To become a certified Master Gardener, participants must complete the course and volunteer at least 30 hours during their first year. After that, they must complete 20 volunteer hours annually to maintain certification.
The registration deadline is Aug. 23.
