A Northwest alum is hoping for community support in starting a bookstore and coffee shop in the Maryville area.

Conservation leaders from across the region gathered at Northwest Missouri State University on Friday, highlighting a growing partnership between the university and the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Looking at this week in Northwest History, on this day in 2013, the Safe Ride program began utilizing the shuttle service vehicles in a bus route style.
