  • On the Midday Report for Monday, March 2nd, we discuss Chillicothe prepping for the summer tourism that is to arrive, a museum in Kansas City is asking for donations of 19080's toys for their new exhibit, Century Farm applications, and so much more!
  • In the Midday Report for Jan. 7, 2026, we have stories on the opening of the Missouri legislative session. Rounding out the newscast, chronic Wasting Disease continues to be a problem in Missouri deer, local elections in St. Joseph are coming up, and local scholarships are open for high school students seeking higher education.
  • The Northwest Foundation reported a strong year of philanthropy in fiscal year 2025, announcing $6.4 million in total giving to Northwest Missouri State University.
  • On today's midday report, we discuss housing in Kansas City for the world cup, chickens in backyards in Falls City, and Trenton's search for their next City Administrator. We'll also touch on addiction recovery centers and a Springfield non-profit getting funding to helping with the housing need in Springfield.
  • On Tuesday, December 16th, 2025's Midday Report, we discuss what's going on with Northwest's enrollment picture, Missouri Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame Inductees from KXCV, redistricting in the state of Missouri, and the safety of water in Iowa. Though enrollment is down here at Northwest, numbers did grow on campus, with enrollment decline Tatum proposes more academic projects to give students more Northwest offerings.
  • The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art has announced a new exhibit premiering this Friday. The opening reception for Above the Fruited Plain, by Jacqueline Bishop will take place this Friday, August 15th from 4PM to 7PM. This is the first time Albrecht Kemper has featured a solo exhibit of her work, but Museum Marketing and Communications Director Madison McKinley speaks on Bishop's connection to Saint Joseph.
  • Maximize NW Missouri, a regional non-profit group, is seeking out local alumni and resident perspectives to guide community development in the coming years. The survey serves as a way for the organization to best serve the communities in its 18 county service region. It focuses on why residents have chosen to stay in the region, or relocate here.
  • After Tye Parsons chose to resign from his position, the Maryville City Council needed to find someone to take his place. In a special meeting Monday evening, the City Council chose Erin Allen to take the vacant spot. She will serve in this role until the next municipal election in April 2026, when the position will become open for all eligible candidates.
  • Looking at this week in Northwest History, on this day in 2013, the Safe Ride program began utilizing the shuttle service vehicles in a bus route style.
