The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art has announced a new exhibit premiering this Friday.
The opening reception for Above the Fruited Plain, by Jacqueline Bishop will take place this Friday, August 15th from 4PM to 7PM. This is the first time Albrecht Kemper has featured a solo exhibit of her work, but Museum Marketing and Communications Director Madison McKinley speaks on Bishop's connection to Saint Joseph.
" She is originally from St. Joseph. She grew up here and then moved away and she currently resides in New Orleans. She is coming back for the show and will be here for the opening reception on Friday, and she's also doing an artist talk in the afternoon on Saturday.", says McKinley.
That artist talk is at 1PM this Saturday, August 16th. This event allows attendees insight into Bishop's thought process and narratives in her work.
Both events are free and open to the public.
