With roadway fatalities on the rise, the Missouri Department of Transportation is urging drivers to take extra precautions as the holiday travel season approaches. Officials say 2025 is on track to surpass last year’s number of deadly crashes if current trends continue.

A portion of Nodaway County Route EE will be closed on weekdays beginning Oct. 27 through Nov. 18, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to be alert for deer on the move as shorter days and earlier evenings arrive.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has awarded Capital Paving & Construction, LLC the contract to replace the bridge deck on the Route N bridge over Interstate 35 near Eagleville. To complete the work, crews will remove the bridge deck, requiring overnight closures of I-35 beneath the bridge beginning Monday, Aug. 26.

Starting Monday, Aug. 25, the Middle Fork Grand River Bridge on U.S. Route 169 in Worth County will close to allow for a bridge deck replacement.
