Northwest Missouri State's MIAA Tournament run ended in the semifinal round in a 56-49 loss to Fort Hays State.
The Bearcats (23-7) trailed by 11, their biggest deficit of the game, with seven minutes to play in the fourth quarter. A 10-2 run brought Northwest within three points of Fort Hays, but they couldn't get any closer.
The Tigers were able to get to the free throw line 14 times in the game, making 10 of them. The Bearcats shot and made just four free throws all day.
Lindsey Kelderman paced Northwest with 13 points and six rebounds.
Molly Hartnett finished with 12 points.
Kelsey Fields put up eight points and 12 rebounds.
