Northwest 67, Nebraska Kearney 65

Northwest Missouri State battled back from an 11-point deficit to knock off Nebraska Kearney 67-65 Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats (8-1, 3-1 MIAA) capped the game on a 13-3 run, including the go-ahead three-pointer by Lindsey Kelderman with 16 seconds remaining. The win marked the first for Northwest over UNK since 2019, and ended the Lopers' 24-game home win streak.

Caely Kesten posted a career-high 22 points and 4-7 three-point shooting in the victory.

Kelsey Fields added 12 points and six rebounds.

Northwest Missouri State returns home Wednesday evening for a matchup with Washburn. Game time is scheduled for 5:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm.
