The Bearcat women's basketball team struggled early against No. 10 Central Missouri and never recovered in a 77-40 loss on Sunday afternoon.
Northwest (1-9, 0-4 MIAA) trailed the Jennies (6-1, 0-1 MIAA) 26-8 at the end of the first quarter, and the deficit grew to 47-16 by halftime.
The 'Cats shot just 24.5-percent from the field in the game.
Mallory McAndrews and Tanya Meyer each scored nine points apiece to lead Northwest.
The Bearcats are back on the road next Saturday against Quincy University, then will stay in Illinois for a couple more days to face McKendree University in Lebanon, IL next Monday.
