The Chillicothe City Council meets this evening. During the meeting, the Council will hold a public hearing regarding the 2025 levy for property taxes for general and parks fund.

A portion of Country Club Road in Maryville will be closed today through Tuesday, September 2 for road repairs.

The Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery is looking for about 30 artists to volunteer at the upcoming Chautauqua in the Park in Chillicothe.

Some Maryville R-2 students will be returning to classes tomorrow with new backpacks full of school supplies and clothes to start the new year.

The Nodaway County Fair will be Thursday July 10th, through Saturday, July 12th in Maryville with the parade scheduled for the morning of Saturday, July 12. Maryville City Manager, Ryan Heiland, says the city will close the streets around the square Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 8 to allow for carnival set-up before the Fair.
