The St. Francis Foundation has received a $25,000 donation from Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing to help expand women’s health services at Mosaic Medical Center–Maryville.

Foundation officials said the contribution will support efforts to enhance access to women’s health care and strengthen services available to patients in the Maryville area.

Representatives of Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing said the donation reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local health care initiatives and improving the well-being of the communities it serves.

The St. Francis Foundation raises funds to support programs, services and equipment that benefit patients throughout the region. Officials said the gift from Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing will help advance ongoing efforts to meet the health care needs of women in northwest Missouri.

Specific projects that are planned for this funding are new, state-of-the-art 3D mammography equipment that will help support early detection, better outcomes, and life-saving care.

Two days into the partnership, there was a scheduled 91 mammograms, 52 cardiac scores, and 37 well-women exams. An impact is apparent already.
