Four Bearcats named to All-America team, including Power's fourth selection

The final NCAA Division II All-America squad came down Thursday, and for the fourth time this week, Clayton Power reeled in the honor.

Joining Power on the Don Hansen All-America squad as a second team selection is teammate Kaleb McCullough. Fellow Bearcats Wes Merriman and Carter Edwards are honorable mention picks.

Power is a consensus All-American, receiving the highest recognition in the country from four publications, including AFCA, D2CCA and the AP.

This is McCullough's second All-America selection, also getting the nod from the AFCA.

Edwards, a linebacker from St. Louis, paced Northwest with 85 tackles and 13 tackles for loss, while also forcing four fumbles and recording two interceptions.

Wes Merriman has started at center in 21 of the last 22 games for the Bearcats dating to 2024, and, along with McCullough at left tackle, bolstered the MIAA's top rushing attack that saw four runners go for over 450 yards and 5 touchdowns on the season.

The four All-Americans lifted Northwest to its 32nd MIAA title and first since 2021.
