Northwest Missouri State men's basketball was swept out of Hays, Kansas Thursday night in a Tiger triumph at Gross Memorial Coliseum. The Fort Hays State men snapped a 15-game losing streak against Northwest in a 57-49 win.
The Bearcats shot just 2-of-16 from 3-point range and stayed afloat down the stretch hitting 19-of-22 free throw attempts. Overall, Northwest made just 3 shots from the field in the final 15 minutes of the game. Daniel Abreu led Northwest with 10 points in the loss.
Bearcats are back in action on Saturday at 4:00pm against Nebraska Kearney.
