Joni Ernst is bowing out of national politics
US Senator Joni Ernst, who represents Iowans in Washington DC, is bowing out of national politics. She announced Tuesday she would not seek re-election for her senate post after months of speculation. Any shifts in congress are being closely watched ahead of the 2026 midterms as democrats are eager to retake control and block President Trump's agenda.Senator Chuck Grassley, who represents southwest Iowa, said it had been an honor to serve alongside Ernst.

January 17 Coaches Show - Track & Field, Baseball, Tennis
The KXCV-KRNW Bearcat Coaches Show resumed on Wednesday night at Carson's Sports Grille in downtown Maryville. The first show of 2018 included guests from indoor track & field, baseball and tennis. Northwest "White Out" t-shirts were also given to members of the audience as part of a drawing during the show, courtesy of The Student Body. The "White Out" theme will carry into the Bearcats' next home basketball game on January 27 against Missouri Western.
