Northwest Missouri State women's and men's basketball coaches and players made the trip to Kansas City for MIAA Media Day October 8 to preview the 2024-25 season. The Bearcat women were picked to finish third in the coaches and media preseason polls, while the men's team landed at fourth in the coaches and third in the media rankings.
