Former Northwest Missouri State defensive lineman Sam Roberts will remain on the east coast as he begins his fifth season in the NFL.
The New York Giants announced the signing of Roberts Monday afternoon.
The 2022 Northwest graduate spent his first two seasons in New England, then moved onto Carolina for a year. He played in five games in 2025, making a start for the Atlanta Falcons before being placed on injured reserve after hurting his ankle against the Colts in Week 10.
Roberts earned 2021 All-America honors at Northwest and won the Cliff Harris Award, which goes to the best small college defensive lineman in the country. He ranks third in Bearcat history with 47 career tackles for loss, including 18 his senior season.
