The Maryville City Council will consider several discussion topics and requests during its meeting Monday evening.
The council will resume discussion on whether to allow UTVs to operate on city streets. The council will also reconsider a decision made last month to prohibit boats on Mozingo Lake from creating wakes. Benjamin Lipiec requested the discussion at the end of the council’s previous meeting.
Other discussion topics include the fiscal year 2027 budget and city-owned property, including fencing and the city’s tree and compost site.
The council also will consider a voluntary annexation request from a homeowner on Icon Road who wants to connect to the city’s sewer system.
The Maryville Police Department is requesting more than $20,000 to purchase four Tasers. Three would replace devices that reached the end of their service life and lost manufacturer support three years ago.
Two liquor license requests also are on the agenda from The Powerhouse Bar and Club at Fifth and Buchanan and The Ville 101 at Fourth and Main.
The council also will consider a request from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County to hold its annual Glow walk/run fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 3.
The council also will receive the results of an employee compensation study.
Monday’s meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Maryville Public Safety Building.
