The annual Downtown Turkey Trot invites runners, walkers, families, and friends to lace up their shoes and hit the streets before the feast. This untimed fun run winds through the downtown and campus of Northwest Missouri State University, encouraging all ages to get moving, enjoy the crisp fall air, and celebrate community spirit. Costumes, strollers, and turkey hats are encouraged! Whether you’re trotting for fitness or for fun, it’s the perfect way to kick off Thanksgiving Day in Maryville.

Get ready to jingle all the way into the holiday season with the Yuletide Magic Holiday Parade & Lighting on Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m.! This spectacular evening will be bursting with festive joy as the streets come alive with twinkling lights, Christmas carolers fill the air with joyful tunes, and holiday treats warm your heart. The parade begins with a countdown to the official lighting of Downtown. And, of course, a special appearance by the Grinch and Santa Claus will make this night truly magical for kids and grown-ups alike.
