Missouri would keep the back-and-forth system unless Congress opts for permanent daylight saving time.

The Missouri House also passed legislation Thursday creating cross-reporting requirements for child and animal abuse cases as well as a bill to restrict SNAP and Medicaid eligibility to U.S. citizens.

The resolution, discussed in a House committee, is a proposed constitutional amendment that, if passed by voters, would allow the legislature to expand state and local sales and use taxes to eliminate the state income tax.
