Cancer patients in Iowa will be unable to seek legal action against chemical makers under a recent Supreme Court ruling in favor of glyphosate manufacturers. Glyphosate is the pesticide found in the weedkiller Roundup.

The pesticide maker Bayer will argue before the U.S. Supreme Court today that it should be immune from lawsuits if its products are found to cause cancer.

Environmental scientists are pushing back on an executive order signed by President Donald Trump, requiring farmers to use the herbicide glyphosate to protect the nation's food supply.
