Northwest Missouri State lit up Emporia State from three-point range early and never slowed down on the way to an 81-56 win in the regular season finale at White Auditorium.
The Bearcats (15-15, 8-11 MIAA) hit 11 threes in the opening 20 minutes to open up a 21-point halftime lead.
Emporia State couldn't find a rhythm against Northwest. The Hornets shot just 30% in the first half and went 3-12 from long range.
Northwest won a tight battle over ESU in December 77-70. The Bearcats left no doubt in round two limiting an opponent to fewer than 60 points for the first time in three months.
Aiden Gair scored a game-high 24 points.
Royce Williams added 13 points, while Mikhail Abdul-Hamid went 4-4 from deep for 12 points.
Northwest earned the 10-seed in the MIAA Tournament and will face seven-seed Missouri Southern Wednesday at 8:15pm in Kansas City.
