Head tennis coach Mark Rosewell looks on during the first home match being played on the new tennis courts at Northwest Missouri State University.

Northwest Missouri State softball brings a 10-game win streak into its home opener Friday, while Bearcat tennis faces Southwest Baptist with head coach Mark Rosewell vying for his 1,300th career victory. The golf team also gets set for its second tournament, and the basketball season comes to a close.

Through 23 games away from home, Northwest softball has posted a stellar 18-5 record and they've won 15 of their last 16 games. This weekend the Bearcats get to make their home debut with a non-conference doubleheader against Minnesota State Moorhead. Head coach Naomi Tellez, junior Emma Hague and senior Jaeleigh Darnell join the show this week looking ahead to playing at Bearcat Field on Friday.

Northwest tennis coach Mark Rosewell is knocking on the door of another milestone. The all-time winningest coach of any sport in the MIAA is sitting on 1,299 career victories. The Bearcat men host Southwest Baptist Friday afternoon with the chance for Rosewell to reach an unprecedented 1,300 wins. Rosewell and sophomores Majra Djokic and Pavlo Vysotin spoke with John Coffey about the opportunity to play at home this weekend.

The spring golf season got underway last week in Edmond, OK. Up next for the Bearcats is a trip to Bolivar Monday and Tuesday for the Midwest Intercollegiate. After reaching the Central Regional for the first time in program history last season, Northwest is looking to continue to build with a young group. Head coach Lathan Croy and sophomore Lexi Bartley discussed the opportunities for the team coming up over the next month and a half.

The Northwest men's basketball season concluded in the MIAA Tournament last week with a loss to Missouri Southern. The Bearcats made a nine-win jump from 2025 to 2026 and hope to keep the momentum rolling next year. Head coach Matt Keeley and senior Jack Ratigan spoke about the progress and what's next for the program.
