After a busy weekend on campus, all will be quiet around Maryville as each Northwest Missouri State team will be on the road for competition this week.
Bearcat baseball took three of four down south over Arkansas Monticello, Northwest will venture to face Colorado State Pueblo. JC Cabuyaban is an impact player already leading the team in slugging percentage and OPS. Cabuyaban and head coach Tony Jandron sat down with John Coffey to highlight Cabuyaban's abilities and the chance to play a four-game set in Pueblo.
Closing in on the MIAA Championships in a few weeks, Northwest indoor track & field produced solid results at the Bearcat Invite. Dominic Sedlacek broke his own school record for a second time in the 60m in 6.64 seconds. On the women's side, Anjelena Carder, in her first time competing in a multi, won the pentathlon with a strong finish in the 800. Sedlacek, Carder and head coach Brandon Masters spoke about the successes and what's ahead in the coming weeks.
