The Chillicothe City Council will swear in newly appointed Third Ward Councilman Zebadiah Yoko during a special ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 13, in the council chambers.
Yoko was approved by a 4-0 vote following a nomination by Mayor Theresa Kelly.
He succeeds former Third Ward Councilman Manny Morales, who stepped down in late July.
Yoko is a science teacher in the Chillicothe R-II School District.
