The Chillicothe Police Department has announced expected road closures for two parades scheduled in September.
The 2026 Chillicothe Homecoming Parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18. Roads along the parade route are expected to be closed from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
Closures are expected on Washington Street from Polk Street south to Ann Street, Ann Street east to Locust Street and Locust Street north to Calhoun Street.
Roads will also be closed Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. for the Kiwanis Kid Day Parade.
The closures will include the downtown area around the Livingston County Courthouse, as well as Webster, Locust, Jackson and Washington streets. Webster Street near Silver Moon Plaza will also be affected.
The primary parade route will run from Locust Street to Washington Street.
