ServMO has announced seven recipients of its America 250 Mini-grants, which will fund community-driven service projects honoring America’s 250th birthday.
The $15,000 funding opportunity will support local community groups as they hold events in September honoring the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and Missouri Good Neighbor Week.
One of the seven recipients is in the KXCV/KRNW listening area. The St. Joseph Youth Alliance, also known as Youth Volunteer Corps, will use its grant for a project called “Answering the Call.”
The initiative will honor firefighters during Missouri Good Neighbor Week while helping strengthen leadership skills and civic responsibility among local youth.
More information about the other grant recipients and the America 250 Mini-grants is available at serv.mo.gov.
