Stanberry School Board prepares for upcoming elections, considers new website platform

Stanberry R-II School District

The Stanberry R-2 School District covered several topics during its October school board meetings, including upcoming elections and plans for a new district website.

Three members of the Stanberry School Board are approaching the final year of their terms, which will conclude in December 2026. Applications for prospective candidates will be available beginning in December 2025. Interested individuals can obtain the necessary paperwork at the superintendent’s office.

The district is also preparing to roll out a new website platform. Two options currently under consideration are EdLeo and ParentSquare. Superintendent John Davison said the goal is to streamline communication among faculty, staff, and parents while improving accessibility across devices. The district aims to launch the new platform by August 2026, with teacher and staff training to follow once a final decision is made.

Davison also recognized several athletic accomplishments during the meeting. He congratulated two freshman golfers on the girls’ team who qualified for the state tournament and earned strong final placements. The Stanberry softball team also received praise for an impressive season, falling just one game short of a return trip to the state tournament.
