The monks of Conception Abbey have launched a fundraising effort to help address top facility needs. Out of the $1.7 million dollar goal, more then $1 million has already been raised.
Specific needs for the facility include new outer glass windows to help with the protection of the stained glass windows and interior artwork, as well as additional protections against humidity and moisture for the pipe organ. New H-VAC systems are also included in new repairs for the Basilica and Saint Maur Hall, as the current systems have reached their intended life span.
Over the last 25 years, the Abbey says it has made significant progress in preserving and renovating its buildings and grounds. The Abbey, located in Conception, Missouri, is open to the public
