The Highway 71 Showdown returns Friday night with the Midland Empire Conference title on the line.
One week after making its longest road trip of the season, Maryville will make its shortest, but most meaningful bus ride of the season to Savannah. Both the Spoofhounds (7-0, 4-0 MEC) and Savages (7-0, 3-0 MEC) are highly ranked in their respective classes and boast high-powered offenses to go alongside stout defenses.
Maryville head coach Matt Webb and senior Chuck Myrick, a two-year starter on the offensive and defensive line, joined us in studio to highlight the matchup, the importance of playing well up front, and Myrick's future in the US military.
