The 1982 state champion Maryville High School football team will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on November 23.

The first football state championship team in Maryville history will be enshrined among the best the Show-Me State has to offer later this month.

The 1982 Spoofhounds will be part of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame's 2025 induction class.

Maryville dropped the opening game that season to Shenandoah, then reeled off 12 straight victories, including a 23-0 win over Duchesne in the Class 3 State Championship held at Arrowhead Stadium.

Prior to the ceremony scheduled for Sunday, November 23, head coach Mike Jordan, quarterback Jon Baldwin, and running back Frank Grispino joined KXCV-KRNW in studio to discuss the accomplishment, the history-making season, and the imprint it left on Maryville High School football.

Full audio from the discussion is available above.

The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at the Intercontinental Kansas City at the Plaza. Ticket information is available here.
