Michael Shapiro, American Composer and Conductor

Michael Shapiro

We are joined by New York based composer Michael Shapiro, who in 2002 wrote a symphonic score for the 1931 film version of Frankenstein. The original version had no music. The complete work comes to the Missouri Theater, this weekend. The St. Joseph Symphony will live score a screening of the film. Shapiro joined us to discuss the work. He begins by reflecting on his original interest in the Frankenstein story.
