Northwest Athletics
Dominic Sedlacek earned his fourth All-America nod last week at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

Northwest Missouri State capped the indoor season at the NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships in Virginia, while tennis coach Mark Rosewell hit a new milestone, and baseball and softball continued their winning streaks.

The Bearcats earned 28 All-American nods as they wrapped up the indoor track & field national championships. Senior Dominic Sedlacek brought home his fourth career All-America honor with a second place finish in the 60 meters, while sophomore Anjelena Carder reached the podium finishing eighth in the pentathlon in her first national championship meet. Sedlacek, Carder and assistant coach Cody Ingold joined the program to discuss the great performances.

Bearcat men's tennis earned its first home win of the spring season, and it was a big one for head coach Mark Rosewell. Northwest downed Southwest Baptist for the 1,300th victory of Rosewell's career. The Missouri Sports Hall of Famer is the winningest coach of any sport in the MIAA, and added to his illustrious resume with another unbreakable record. Rosewell, assistant coach Marielena Muench, and freshman Konstantin Feiel spoke with John Coffey on this week's show.

Northwest baseball has won six straight and, at 17-6, are off to the program's fastest start since 2003. This week's schedule includes a road trip to face No. 7 Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Head coach Tony Jandron and junior shortstop Wilmer Jimenez talked about what's ahead for the team.

Bearcat softball set a new program record with 12 straight wins thanks to a doubleheader sweep of MSU Moorhead. Northwest sits at 20-5 going into this week's first MIAA games of the season against Rogers State and Northeastern State. Head coach Naomi Tellez, senior Omara Love and junior Emma Hague highlighted the team's success ahead of the upcoming road trip.

After a 9-3 mark on the gridiron last fall, John McMenamin and company are already beginning work toward the 2026 campaign. The annual spring scrimmage is slated for April 18 at 1pm. McMenamin sat down with John Coffey to discuss the off-season workouts.
