Page County Emergency Management will hold a full-scale emergency response exercise Saturday in the Clarinda and Shambaugh areas, leading to an increase in emergency traffic throughout the afternoon.
The countywide training will involve fire, EMS, law enforcement, and healthcare teams working together in a simulated emergency. Organizers say the scene will look realistic, with volunteer patients and mock injuries, but emphasize that it is only a drill.
Road closures near Shambaugh will begin at 8 a.m., including 270th Street from Rose to Wall, and Rose Avenue from 4th to 270th. Roads are expected to reopen once the exercise concludes later in the day.
Residents are urged to use caution if they encounter emergency vehicles in the area during the exercise.
