Haunted Hayrack Ride Returns to Shenandoah to Support Student Trip

A chill is in the air, and Halloween is just around the corner as the Essex Junior High brings back the Wabash Trace Haunted Hayrack Ride this weekend to raise funds for a class trip to Washington, D.C.

The event takes place Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 p.m., with the last chance to get in line at 10 p.m. Hayrides will continue until everyone has gone through.

A special no-scare hour will run from 6 to 7 p.m. both nights for younger children or anyone who prefers a less frightening experience.

The ride begins at Little Waubonsie Park in Shenandoah, with parking available off Ferguson Road.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go toward funding the Essex High School trip to the nation’s capital. Admission is $10 per person. Each additional time through the same night will be only $5.
