Renovations are underway at the Krug Castle in St Joseph.
As a result, the castle will be closed to the public for several months.
The existing restrooms and seating areas are unavailable due to work being done on the brick and rock walls of the building. After completion, the castle will have new interior restrooms, concessions, and dressing rooms for events at the park.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2027. The work at the castle is part of a $12 million update to the park, funded by a city sales tax for the St Joseph Parks and Recreation department.
