MDC to host open houses on deer management in northwest Missouri

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting the public to learn more about white-tailed deer at a series of community open houses in northwest Missouri.

MDC staff will discuss deer management and regulations, disease prevention, managing private land for deer, and the department’s Deer Management Assistance Program. Staff will also be available to answer questions.

The open houses run from 4 to 8 p.m., and no registration is required.

Events in the region include a session Sept. 30 at the Stoney Creek Conference Center in St. Joseph and another Oct. 1 at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center in Chillicothe.
