Moberly opens first new park in 40 years

Moberly has opened its first new park in nearly four decades. The Kiwanis Park features a large playground with border fences, ample parking, a picnic pavilion with ADA access, and climate-controlled restrooms.

Moberly Parks and Recreation Director, Troy Bock, said the city's parks and playgrounds are "great equalizers where youth share, space, time, and joy without consideration of demographics or abilities."

This project was made possible through grants and support from community groups including the Moberly Kiwanis Club, for which the park is named, and multiple different local businesses. Officials say that the expansion strengthens the city's role as a regional destination for recreation.
