- A month into the new school year, comes another round of reminders for motorists to obey traffic laws when school buses stop to pick up and drop off students.
- Negotiations have started between the city of Maryville and the Nodaway County rural water district where the city could sell treated wastewater to the rural district that could be used by a proposed data center.
- Last Friday's ceremonial grand opening at Northwest Missouri State of the renovated and expanded Martindale Hall included an update on the announcement from last March about the university's decision to establish a rural health center and bring back a bachelor's degree in nursing.
- A Caldwell County couple is named this year's Missouri outstanding tree farmers of the year.
