- After Nodaway County commissioners hear public concerns about road construction on Highway 71 south of Maryville, the Missouri Department of Transportation is establishing a work zone speed limit of 55 miles per hour.
- Maryville city council members heard an update on maintenance being done at Mozingo Lake Park during Tuesday night's special meeting that improved trails and the lake's shoreline.
- The Maryville council also approved an application from Calvary Chapel church to be annexed. Final action is scheduled for September 28th.
- Kansas City Chiefs fans had the opportunity on Thursday in Maryville and Albany to participate in Red Thursday by buying a Chiefs flag from a Maryville member of the Red Coaters organization.
- Maryville Parks and Recreation and the Maryville school district's parents as teachers program are hosting their "Touch a Truck" event for children five years and younger Saturday afternoon from 3 until 5 p.m. at Donaldson Westside Park.
- Thursday marked the one year anniversary of the murder of the co-founder of Turning Point U-S-A, Charlie Kirk. Last Friday, his widow Erika spoke at St. Joseph Christian School to seventh through 12th graders and invited guests.
