- Maryville's observance of the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attack is Friday morning at 10 at the Freedom Rock located inside Franklin Park.
- Mosaic Medical Center-Maryville now has therapy dogs where they and their volunteer handlers visit with patients, visitors, and caregivers.
- The first art exhibition of the academic year at Northwest Missouri State's DeLuce gallery opens Thursday with part of a St. Joseph businessowners extensive collection of the American West.
- The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports eight deaths on state highways during the Labor Day weekend. One UTV crash took the life of a 16 year old near Kirksville. Another UTV crash east of Cameron resulted in serious injuries to the 22 year old driver.
