The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports ten people were injured in five crashes in Nodaway, Andrew, Holt, and Daviess counties.

Two Maryville residents were involved in single vehicle crashes Monday afternoon (November 2). The patrol says an 18 year old woman suffered minor injuries after her SUV hydroplaned off Interstate 29 north of St. Joseph and rolled several times. No other vehicles were involved. The driver was taken to the hospital in St. Joseph. And the patrol says a 50 year old woman driving a pickup truck left Highway 113 south of Maitland, struck an embankment, and crossed the entire highway before coming to a stop. The driver was taken to a St. Joseph hospital with minor injuries. Neither driver was identified.

A two vehicle crash in Holt County Tuesday afternoon (November 3) sent three people to the hospital. The patrol reports the driver of a car on Highway 159 east of Big Lake was looking at his phone when the car crossed the center line and struck the bumper of an oncoming car. The driver of the car that crossed the center line, a 61 year old man from Falls City Nebraska, was taken to the Falls City hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the other car, a 71 year old woman from Country Club, was taken to the St. Joseph hospital with moderate injuries. Her passenger, a 72 year old man from Country Club, went to the St. Joseph hospital with serious injuries.

Four people sustained minor injuries in a chain reaction collision involving three vehicles just after sunset Tuesday (November 3) in Daviess County. The patrol reports a car and a SUV were stopped on Highway K at Highway 6 when a pickup rear-ended the car, which in turn rear-ended the SUV. The injured were taken to hospitals in Trenton and Liberty. No names were released.

For the second time in 11 days, the patrol responds to a crash in Country Club at the intersection of Business 71 and John Glenn Road. Wednesday (November 4) during the noon hour, a SUV driven by an 85 year old man from Savannah failed to yield while attempting to cross Business 71 and struck a southbound pickup. The 85 year old was taken to the hospital in St. Joseph with minor injuries. The other driver, a 79 year old man from Amazonia, was not injured. No names were released.
