The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports more than $150,000 is recovered and two arrests are made the same day following a theft at St. Joseph's Frontier Casino.

The recovery of the money and the arrests were made in a matter of hours with the assistance of license plate reading cameras.

Online court documents say on Sunday morning (October 25) someone at the casino received a call from someone who they thought was with Fed Ex.

The caller said they had permission from the casino's security supervisor and general manager to receive the money.

After the suspects drove away with the money, it was learned it was not authorized by the general manager.

Casino video captured the getaway vehicle and license plate and the identities of the suspects.

The suspects were stopped about 130 miles away in Macon County where they were arrested and the money was recovered.

As of Monday (October 26), the patrol reported 42 year old Charles Blaisdell and 21 year old Heaven Roberts of St. Joseph were held in the Macon County jail in lieu of bonds of $150,000 dollars each.

As of Tuesday (October 27), the casino had no information about the theft on its website or Facebook page.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
