The Chillicothe city council has two meetings on Monday (October 26).

First is a special meeting at 1:30 where the agenda says there will be an "Organizational Development Session for all Elected Officials" followed by a closed session. Mayor Theresa Kelly told KXCV-KRNW News after the departure of the last city administrator, "the Mayor & Council engaged Interim Solutions, LLC to do an organizational assessment of our City organization. This assessment included an evaluation of decision-making processes, lines of authority, chains-of-command, and respective duties of the elected officials serving the City of Chillicothe. The meeting scheduled for Monday is a follow-up visit to discuss the findings, conclusions, and recommended future actions mentioned in the report."

The agenda for the Chillicothe council's regularly scheduled meeting at six p.m. includes discussing roof repairs at city hall that is estimated to cost more than $175,000 dollars and a voluntary annexation of 35 acres of land owned by the city south of Highway 36 and east of Sydenstricker that the city currently leases for farming.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
