The Betterment Foundation of Barnard and Guilford has announced the fire departments in both towns receiving grant money.
The foundation's Facebook page shows a check for $76,564.80 from Evergy that will go towards new equipment in fire department trucks.
The post says the equipment will aid in fire calls at the new Evergy power plant and the rest of their service area.
The post also says the foundation teamed with the fire departments to write the grant.
