Northwest Foundation reminds Northwest Missouri State employees to check their payroll deduction settings on the university's new Workday platform

Northwest Missouri State employees who make payroll deductions to the Northwest Foundation are reminded to check settings on the new Workday system to make sure those deductions are still taking place.

The foundation's chief financial officer, Melissa Wellhausen, says they fielded employee questions after the Workday platform went live on July 1.

Wellhausen says the main thing is that they hope people choose to give and the foundation staff wants to make sure donor's gifts go to their intended destination.

Workday provides Northwest employees with a variety of options. If the donor's choice is not listed, Wellhausen says to select "Other", enter their choice, then contact the foundation office to confirm the selection.

Northwest employees with questions are invited to contact the Foundation office.

Established in 1971, the Northwest Foundation, Inc. operates independently of the state institution as a separate 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation governed by its own Board of Directors.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
