A two ton truck came to rest on its top in a ditch off a highway south of Stanberry Sunday night (October 4). The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 25 year old man from Conception driving the truck was taken to the hospital in Albany with minor injuries. Troopers say the truck on Highway M went off the road, the driver overcorrected and the truck overturned into the ditch. The driver's name was not released.

A two vehicle crash Sunday afternoon (October 4) on Highway 36 near the Linn-Macon county line west of New Cambria sent three people to the hospital. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a northbound SUV failed to yield and struck the passenger side of an eastbound SUV. A 49 year old woman from Pennsylvania driving the eastbound vehicle and an 83 year old woman from Marceline riding in the northbound vehicle sustained serious injuries. The 86 year old driver of the northbound vehicle, a man from Marceline, had moderate injuries. No names were released.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
